I love modifying my 85 900T, and It is ungodly fast, but it breaks ( just killed the 350hp clutch yesterday in 2600miles). I have had the opportunity to driver a viggen on 2 occasions ( both 3doors ), and I got to say it was nice. I would definitely buy one no question ( 3door with the pewter silver paint, or red).
I could of bought a new one and some speed parts for what my 85 cost, but I didn't because I like to challenge my creativity.
The viggen is the reincarnation of the SPG.
Like others have said and I will also say, the c900's are great looking, fun to drive cars, but the fact is the viggen has some 20-25 years of technology and engineering on its side.
As for the I spent only a couple hundred bucks and I can beat a Viggen comments (the guy wasn't racing). Only after installing $4000 in bolt ons did my brothers car beat a Viggen ( big turbo, 30lb'ers, stage 2 APC, AID& dawes, 2.1 head, water injection, big clutch) The car was very fast , but blew head gaskets every 3 months and the the motor.
The bottom line is this, Viggen like speed or faster in a C900 is a very expensive way to go and its not reliable at all. This is why my 900 is not my only mode of transportation.
