While I know noting about any of these above cars other than what I've read. I will voice my opinion since you asked.
1. CTS (Caddy) = doesn't handle all that great when compared with similar cars. I don't see anyting sporty about either? The CTS 'base model' is like having a Mustang with a V-6 in it, who wants that? Aren't they building another trim level of that car to compete with the BMW M5 for like $50K ?
2. GTO (Pontiac) = while I think this does offer some performance factors, it also looks like the Caviler's older brother, or larger cousin. The word on the street is, because they aren't really as powerful or in the same league as other performance cars, pontiac might put out a version next year with even more power than current model. Maybe wait for that one to see if it appears, should be similar to the Ford Cobra in performance.
3. SAAB 9-5, While I wouldn't mind owning one of them, it would have to be an Aero as they are the only way to fly if you want performance. You did say $30K though, so the Aero probably isn't an option, but if it were? With it's all around peforamance, luxury, and standard options list, it would be a choice.
See Ya,
Phil
