First step for a '95 9K Aero?
Posted by Kris [Email] (more from Kris) on Tue, 4 May 2004 08:45:39
I have a '95 9K Aero 5spd with 48,000 on it. After I get the tranny back from Mile Hi,(I had the clutch replaced and then lost 4th?), I want to start planning out its upgrades. I am wondering what a good starting point is. From my research it seem's that the exhaust or going straight to a Maptun Stage 1 kit would be the way to go. Sound like the stock air box is fine, and obviously there is no ignition work you can do. My end goal would be like a Maptun Stage 3. I want to get it to the high 200 for HP around 275. I think that is about the practical limit. Then I could at least keep my friend in his STI in sight. I guess in the end I will be looking at, computer, exhaust, fuel injectors, blow-off valve, and ??? If you have done similar upgrades your advice would be great.
