snipes was nice enough to have me down & let me burn up like 150 LBS of aluminum rod & use his tig machine for several hours
when I was done the double volvo IC looked verry impressive but unfortunatly the verry thin core tubes on the volvo IC were arc flashed in a couple of places (my mistake) which put a couple of holes in them
hopefuly he will post the pics he took of my verry first tig welds :-)
I just left it there I had like $150 into materials & I must have welded for like 3 or 4 hours
I think that those of you wanting to do FMIC setups should either use the 2 saab ICs next to each other or just buy a used starion conquest IC
basicaly if I could have pulled off this one it would have been cool but in trying to make the end plates smaller so I wouldent end up with 4.5 inch wide tanks & an IC so tall that allot of cutting would have to be done to get it in I made it a virtualy impossible project for me at least
it was fun to hang out with snipes & his buddies down there realy nice folks
back to the old drawing board
