Basically sort of a UHP street/competition tyre hybrid. Specifically designed for circuit and 'serious' road use. Semi-race compound, but with full depth thread.

They're Japanese-spec (no DOT or E-markings, not necessary for us Dutch to be road legal :-) ), and I've had to special order them through a contact at Toyo Benelux. Well worth it, though. Simply the most aggressive tyre I would run on the road in a country where it rains on 210 days a year.
