We do not feel the T5Boost4 dyno runs with A/F measurements are reliable. The dyno operator said his A/F was not working properly before the runs, and there unexplained things happening at the beginning of the runs with and without T5Boost4. The primary test car had a O2 sensor indicatior that did not indicate a lean condition even though the A/F plot started lean. A/F measurement problems are most likely at the beginning of inertia dynos runs, since there is a very rapid transition from light load low gas flow to full throttle high gas flow. With this in mind we can not stand behind plots that show unexplained things happening with or without T5Boost4.
There have been T5Boost4's on the road for nearly 3 years. We started working on T5Boost4 when a $700 ECU mod did not increase power and failed after a 6 months! The government recently tested a number of present day ECU mods (not Saab)and found they did not increase power on a constant speed dyno. In due respect for JAK and his conversation with a tuner who is in competition with T5Boost4, it would be very easy for them to say T5Boost4 doesn't do something right. Especially if they have not tried it themselves.
