Greetings all

I've searched and read many, many posts here relating to clutch performance, but can't come up with a definitive answer to my dilemma. Among other things on my '94 9000 Aero, I have the SQR Stage 4 ECU rated to 307BHP or around there. Last winter, the tranny gave way while I (slowly, seriously) pulled away from a stop light. Threw something hard enough to put a hole in the case. I had the stock flywheel and PP, and had gotten a Swedish Dynamics 6-finger copper disk to hold the power. Finally got the tranny off last week, and the clutch is SHREDDED- flywheel ground to nothing, PP hosed, clutch disk stunningly OK though (might be selling on SaabNet!). The clutch disc was tough- engagement was basically on/off, no slipping, held the power, but super tough to drive stop-and-go. I'm not a racer, just like to stomp on it sometimes (not often) in 3rd or 4th on the freeway, no high rev drops, etc., so I think the clutch disk was just too much for the flywheel and PP to handle, or after 20 years of driving stick I suddenly can't ;^). What I'd like to do is replace the whole deal to (1) hold the power and (2) have as close-to-stock drivability as possible. I can't afford the Sachs hi-po PP, so I'm asking (begging?) for suggestions to replace the system as a whole, and *not* with OEM Saab pieces, preferably. If possible, I'd like to spend no more than $600 on parts, but if it's the right solution, maybe more, but not much. The CenterForce inrigues me a bit, but they only list to -93 MY.

Any and all help is *greatly* appreciated.

TIA
Will
