You should be able to view the extension of the Slave cylinder via the Clutch cover access hole. Manual has info on what to see as it relates to Clutch disk wear.
Yers is an 's' model.. the OEM clutch is MORE than adequate power handling wise for anything you could/would concievably do to the motor, including adding a turbo.
Lightening a flywheel can give small, but noticeable performance increases.. usually evidenced as slightly faster acceleration thru first and second gear.. with diminishing performance effects as one goes up through the gears (as in NO difference at all in 4th).... It's a small physical advantage for the motor.. but not any kind of a miracle power boost:-)
