Dexter,
Thats what happended to another one that I cracked open, it had sorted and melted one of the electromagnets (the insides) which then ran and plugged the bleed hole therefore giving uncontrolled boost - it was too far gone to fix.
I did however make this monstrosity of a BPC valve by using two solenoids pulling a metal cylinder with a cutout against each other. The theory was that the voltage supplied to the bpc would regulate the valve automatically to the ECU's pre-determined boost level and then would back off boost just like the standard one Mr Saab gave us. Well... it worked well in theory but not in practice, not to mention that the whole contraption was 5 times as big as the standard one - never really gave steady boost becuase I couldn't seal the valve well enough and the solenoids soon burnt themselves out AND I was almost $200 out of pocket.
So I kind of gave up...
Good luck with yours tho, more power to ya
