Agreed. Seat time and experience are your best weapons.
If you are looking to win, stock classes are real bad for the Saab. It's G-Stock, which means you'll be running against a limited slip supercharged Mini.. they will spank you in autocross even with a novice driver behind the wheel. They are dominating bad enough that they are proposing moving a lot of D-Stock cars down into G-Stock to try and even things out = making things even worse for the Saabs. (they are also going to move a lot of GS cars down to HS, but Saab is not one of them)..
Good luck, and do this for fun; not trophies :)
