well this thought had crossed my mind, but it was only one plug and not much green...ill have to recheck the new set of plugs i put in. The only thing was that i just did a coolant flush and all seemed normal, car isnt driinking any coolant, no oil in coolant etc...anything else i can check to determine if its the headgasket? heres the results from some tests i did today..
did the fuse removal test today while hooked up to an obd2 scanner. First off the coolant temp NTC sensor is now ruled out as at running temp it was reading between 190 and 200 degrees farenheit which i believe to be normal. Heres some other readings i got out of the reader...
No Fuse With Fuse
----------- --------------
idle rpm = almost steady 850 rpm idle rpm = 890 - 904 rpm
O2 sensor 1 voltage = .005-.015v O2 sensor 1 voltage = .15-.355v
also, on my drive across town to my buddies shop my mileage skyrocketed to almost 25 mpg with the fuse removed (its about a 10 mile drive).
This is all really weird to me but is this pointing to the oxygen sensor? i have yet to look it up in mitchell but i believe with the fuse in it is reporting the voltage range for rich and without the fuse its either the stoich or lean range (ill check in a bit)....Just gotta decide what part to order as i have to drive up to school in a week :(
