Hey,
A little wiring mess, huh?
You need to order "Saab Electrics" from Jack Ashcraft. He's taken those terrible shop manual schematics and redrawn them to make them readable by normal human beings. An excellent purchase!! In fact, Jack takes the time to have separate diagrams for grounding, lighting, and information circuits, plus a nice drawing of what the back of the instruments look like.
Also, you should know that Sonett's are somewhat like kit cars- no two are exactly alike, esp with respect to the wiring.
The brown wire labeled "FB" is for foot brake- it should go to the red light in the bottom of the speedo. 54i should be a 12V feed from fuse 10 that goes to the tach and the combination gauge in the dash- in some cars, 54i is white, others is red.
56A blue is the high beam indicator in the speedo
58B green is actually the illumination for the speedo.
49p yellow is the turn signal flasher.
This is the same for both 1970 and 1971, according to the Ashcraft schematics.
Drop me a line directly if you have more questions.
Good luck!
