Jim gave an excellent description of the freewheel system/purpose. Just want to reiterate that the Sonett was based on the Model 96 and has no link whatsoever to the Model 99. Actually, I understand that the first 1-2 years of 99 also were equipped with freewheel in a totally different trans, but I digress.
