The alternator to starter motor charge cable wire ID numbers on the electrical schematic in my 1968 Sonett V4 owner manual may be inconsistent and may have caused me confusion, including not immediately recognizing my print's wire #61 as a valid number for the wire from alternator to the charge indicator. I've now dismissed that charge cable wire ID inconsistency in the 1968 owner's manual as having no consequence regarding diagnosing my 1969 Sonett's horn operation.
The 95, 96 V4 service manual electrical plans for 1967 through 1976 are consistent in that alternator D+ is connected to voltage regulator D+. I can't comment on the Ashcraft print with the reported electrical connection of starter B+ to alternator D+.
