Well, I was lucky when I bought the car in 1999 in Denmark and brought it back home to Germany.

The engine with all the bits was in the car. And I was lucky a few years later to get another engine with the double exhaust port heads from somebody, who bought that stuff from Bengt-Erik Ström. Ström is a former works mechanic who was running a tuning shop outside Trollhättan after Saab closed the competition department. So it is basically works parts.

I know that recently people in Netherlands and Norway got the dual exhaust port part made (either CNC machined or the guy in Netherlands seems to get them cast). Then you need to find someone who is capable of machining standard cylinder heads to accomodate this new exhaust port thing. And who can weld it on so it will last.

But I am pretty confident if you start building on a 1700cc engine, you can get hands on all the parts needed to get it up to around 100hp. Not cheap, but it is not rocket science.

Many people use Ford Pinto pistons. Camshafts are available from several places. Bigger valves and high flow / pressure oil-pump you can take from the Ford Cologne V6. And so on. Porting heads and intake manifold I do myself sometimes if I need to. ;-)
