What does the "stay" at the front of the hood attaching the 'bumper' to the frame look like? Ours is completely missing on both our project car and our parts car. If someone has a picture that we could fabricate from that would be helpful. There is a square channel on the frame on both sides of the front that looks like it could accept a stiffener or "stay." The manual shows a location of the stay (on one side only) but it's not descriptive enough to fabricate from (see the page from the manual attached, Step 4 under Removal)

Also, when refitting the hood, and using the 60mm block spacers, it seems like a better idea would be to permanently mount 60mm rubber blocks to the frame. Any thoughts on what, "Could possibly go wrong?" with such a mod?
