When I assy. the tranny I was told to tighten the rods. I feel this was incorrect because they do have screw slots on the shafts and lock nuts (appears adjustable). Also it would not shift at all untill I did some adjusting now first and second seem stiff and third and fourth are smooth. One other thing, if I get on the Gas it seems to grind as if falling out of gear in second YIKES. I have had the car 5 years and it has been fine in the past.
