I noticed in a recent catalog from MSS, that they sell a quieter variant of their muffler systems that includes a second glasspack. Also, in a brief discussion with Bruce Turk earlier this year, he mentioned that he had modified an MSS system for his own Sonett V4 by "flipping" the exhaust after the bracket so that it was directed toward the right rear wheel well (instead of the left/center of the car). He then took the car to a local custom shop that happily bent up a custom setup to extend the pipe over the right rear axle and out the grommeted hole in the right rear of the car.
I currently have a single-glasspack MSS setup on my Sonett V4 and I'm thinking of adding the MSS second glasspack retrofit before driving to SOC this summer. I might even do the flip that Bruce had done--it's a little weird to have that gromet there, but without a tailpipe sticking out--over time, those kind of things get to me!
Where is this tractor muffler previously mentioned?
