I used to rebuilt, paint and refurb 64-72 Mopar muscle cars. I recently obtained 2 Sonnet 3. Western suburbs of Boston, MA. Here as the conditions: 1st is faded Orange with good floor pans, doors don't sag when opening, body is solid (no cracks just faded paint), door skins are intacted (not ripped/torn) and cool looking soccer ball looking wheels, but motor looks siezed, the frame looks rusted out broken rear hatch window and interior not bad considering where it was found.
2nd is faded Sky Blue again the frame looks rusted out, the body good although it has a small but repairable hole behind the right tire, the glass is all there, interior not bad but seats are ripped like the other, motor is unkown the wheels say SAAB but don't know if these are optional.
They are head turning, cool and classic looking machines.
Here are the some questions that you all? Since, this is my first timer into forgein cars. Are these Sonnett 3 an easy or difficult restore part wise? Can I just transfer to another frame? If so what year, make of frames? What size motors where options? Can the VIN numbers tell me what is suppost be on the cars? Is there a market for them when restored? Where can I get manuals or cd of manuals? Or is just better to not start this at all?
If I continue invest time and money into these 2 projects
I would make one orignal and other to be show and go car!! (awesome paint, impressive motor with great handling). I could be convinced ,easily, to just sell the 2 cars and do something else.
