Bump in my boards…

There is a bump in the floor boards on the driver’s side. Seeing as I am taking care of the surface rust in that area, I’m thinking of bashing that blasted bump… bringing it back to baseline. Ok enough with the alliteration.
Seriously one of the previous owners must have caught a rock or used the jack in the wrong place. I think I will use a piece of wood cut to about the same size a the channel in the steel and go at it with a hammer. Not an elegant solution but I can’t come up with much else. Can you guys?
