mitt liv kom saab

Friends, I've always loved Saabs. I finally obtained one (as well as the Bentley). But I have two questions. I also hear a clicking sound coming from the dashboard sometimes. But it doesn't sound like a clock, it sounds like a switch or relay clicking on and off very rapidly and irregularly. It used to only come from the driver's side, but the other day I heard some clicks from the passenger side as well. Somehow it seems to be related (in a pattern that I can't decipher) to the clutch pedal. My other question concerns the check engine light. My light has been on for a while so I pulled the codes and got a 12111. I put a new O2 sensor in and the light temporarily went out, but then after 30 minutes of driving it came back on. Part of the code suggests an air leak. I know my valve cover gasket is bad and will be replaced as soon as I can locate one. Would this leak cause this code? Thanks.
Dan
