Buying a 1991 900S

I am thinking of purchasing a 1991 900S with 154,000 miles on it.  The
asking price is $4,950.  The interior and exterior of the car are 
in excellent condition -- at least aesthetically.  I don't know about the
engine, etc., but when I drove the car, it drove fine.  But it did not
have the zip/power of a 1992 900S with 94,000 miles, which I drove
earlier.  

With regard to the 91 model, is there anything I should be aware of
concerning this particuliar model?  How much will it cost to maintain over
the next couple of years?  Since it has 154,000 miles, what can expect to
replace over the next year or two?  Should I ask the seller any questions?
Is there much difference between the 91 and the 92 models?  Why did the 92
have more accellerating power than the 91?  Is it a good price?

I am going to test drive a '92 900 on Wednesday or Thursday.  This car has
96,000 miles and the seller is asking for $6,000 for it.  Do members of
the list have any suggestions or comments regarding this car?
