Hi

52,000 km is not a lot of mileage for a saab. When was the oil changed the
last time? check with the previous owner or at the dealership. This does
indicate carbon deposits in the combustion chamber due to which the oil will
get black, also the air/fuel ratio may not be correct resulting in improper
burning resulting carbon deposits, which in turn turns the oil black. Also
check the date of the ECU, if it is dated prior to 12/99 ( only your dealer
can do it ) it needs to be changed because the original ECU was faulty.
Check for air leaks on vacuum hoses and throttle body and turbo seals,
because it also causes engines to not work properly resulting in black oil.

Hope this is of help

Best Regards
Tashfeen
