I won't replace it as a precaution. The car has always passed emissions with flying colors, but over time the miniscule amounts of lead and other heavy metals which are present in our gasoline (in ever decreasing amounts as time goes on) will mask the noble metals, reducing catalytic efficiency. Catalytic failure is a concern, but not one requiring action.
