I used to run the Hekkapalittas (sp?). Nobody every mentioned the 70mph
speed limit to me (that's not to say it isn't true) and I never gave it a
moment's thought. Just drove them as I would have driven with any other
tire. They do get noisy, though.

I switched to Blizzaks a couple of years ago when my car developed a severe
vibration which we originally attributed to the tires. Turns out the tires
were fine, but for the conditions I normally encounter the Blizzaks are
probably a marginally safer tire so I kept them.

I will say this, though, for those occasional deep snow situations that we
do sometimes get here (north west of Toronto), there's something about the
combination of a SAAB and the Hekka's that makes you feel that actually
getting stuck is something that's just not possible.
