I have a 1987 Saab SPG and I have the same clunking.I had my mechanic check
the whole suspension and he found nothing! I had the same on a previous Saab,
so maybe it is the nature of the beast. As far as the dash I have always used
ArmorAll and other silicon based cleaners and restorers and so far my dash is
fine. Good luck with your Saab! George
