I don't think we've heard the entire story. It would be nice to know:
a) Did he buy the car new from the dealer with a full warranty? Yes, car was purchased brand new in May 2003.
b) What exactly is wrong with the car that his dealer can't fix? Well this time that it had to be towed in, it was because of a steering lock malfunction. This part is on backorder for the past 3 weeks. Previously, I have had to have the steering column replaced, the battery, a brake job at less than 6k miles, the Distance til Empty sensor has been in 3 times, the entertainment computer had to be reprogrammed, the doorknobs had to be replaced because they faded and looked horrible, as well as several other minor issues. This car had to be towed in the 3rd week that I owned it!
c) What steps did he take with his local SAAB dealership to rectify the problem before going straight to the top? The Saab service advisor is on my side. He said that he has seen a lot of issues with 03 9-3's in particular.
