Tools for belt tensioner? Posted by JimBlake [Email] (#141) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JimBlake) on Sun, 29 Sep 2013 08:17:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |

I think I hear a noisy pulley, for now I assume it's the belt tensioner. Going to get the belt off & check the pulleys for wobbling. It clatters, especially when first starting.
So there's probably a tool to unload the tensioner, but I'll try to wing it for now to verify the loose tensioner.
I guess the engine mount has to come off to actually replace the tensioner. The mount has a couple of E14 bolts, but also a couple that are larger than my largest (E16) socket. Anybody know it those are E18 or E20?
Any other surprise tools that I'll need? This of course assumes that when I get the belt off it actually turns out to be the tensioner & not the alternator or whatever else.
Thanks
