Saab is not a premium luxury brand. Luxury brand, yes.
Come on, when Audi and VW share basic designs, even VW & Porsche, its commonplace.
The 5 series is at least $10k more than a 9-5. Heck the 9-5 is only about $4k more than an Accrod EX! Put the brand and the price in perspective.
I sat in an '06 -- I think its a wonderful interior. Very tasteful, functional, great update. If you start worrying that its less of a car because it shares a radio, switch, or whatever with another car -- what good does that do you? (and no, I did not drive the car, hear the radio, or turn on the a/c!)
I'm old enough to remember the fierce arguments over Caddy vs Chevy vs Buick or Olds V-8s in the late 60's, very early 70's. But in reality (with a few notable exceptions) -- take the average 350 or 400 v-8 -- and 99% of the people would not notice a difference driving it.
