I **WON'T** go near. I went to Ramsey on a number of occasions and they definitely rubbed me the wrong way, their used cars were not in good shape of the times I visited them and the asking price were way too much for the condition of the car.
As for JMK, I only visited them before they built a new place for SAAB. It felt a bit sleazy for my taste. Their used cars again were not in good shape.
I found Reinertsen in Denville a better overall dealer. They don't keep too many used cars but those they keep on the lot usually are in good to very good conditions. Their service department is good to pretty good if you have to use a dealer. The parts department is actually quite reasonable in their prices. All the sales people there behave in a professional manner and that's all I can ask for in a car salesperson; no high pressure tactics or bad attitude.
I would also suggest Spreens. I was trying to buy a '98 9000CSE they had on the lot for more than a year. The car was OK mechanically but the rear seat wasn't in that great a shape (but I'm really picky in used cars). I was dealing directly with the sales manager Rich Wehle and again he behaved in a professional manner.
Remember all sales people are there to make money for themselves and their companies so I don't expect to give the car away but if at anytime there is even a hint of getting personal or mildly insulting I would just walk.
If you don't mind a little bit of driving, I would recommend Roberti Motors in Kingston, NY. I found their used cars are well maintained but their prices are a little bit high (there is a price to everything). You can visit their web site at http://www.roberti.com/ and their inventory list is updated daily. They have an extensive collection of 9-3 models.
Good luck in getting your car.
