After driving my 02 9-5 for over a month, I am truly impressed. The best car so far I have ever owned (and i've owned a lot including a 99' Corvette). Anyway...I am posting a few things that SAAB may want to consider for 03'. Feel free to respond with your wishes.
* Built in Garage door opener in visor or Mirror. My 1998 Catera had this built in the rear view mirror. It was a great feature. I store my opener in the cigarette compartment below A/C controls. I was surprised the Corvette didn't have one as well. People who buy cars at this price tend to park in a garage. My girlfriends Grand Cherokee even had one in the sun visor. My older GMC Jimmy had a place to at least tuck the remote.
* Compass. Most other carmakers at lest offer this in the assesory catalog. BMW, mercedes, Lexus, Acura..all have this option built into mirror. Many lower priced cars like Chevy have them.
* A full rear trunk cargo net should be standard. I'm about to purchase one from the catalog.
* Built in XM radio. This is new..hpefully be a widespread item next year.I know I can add a reciever...but it doesn't look right on the dash.
* Electronic steering wheel adjustment. The manual tilt/forward control is a bit cumbersome. The one in my 99' vette had memory settings and was fully electricly adjustable.
I hope SAAb considers these options. I may trade up to a 03 next year.
