Search this site and you will find many posts on accidents involving a SAAB. Rarely is there a report of injury. You seem to be having doubts about your purchase. I think you will find that the SAAB 9-5 rates highly in accident tests and real life incidents and to paraphrase the subject line the 9-5 is "more safe than many competitors". If you want absolute safety, stay home and that does not appear to be your thing anyway, given you ride a VFR-800.
