don't know about the free BELT replacement on the V6s at 60k. Also, that covers ONLY THE BELT, and as has been proven over time, the belt is only one of the potential problems. The tensioner and pulleys are also wear items, and though Saab may swap out the belt at 60k, it doesn't really help you if the pulleys/tensioner go at 80k...
The "best practice" today is to replace belt, tensioner and pulleys every 60k, and water pump every second belt (not because it goes bad, necessarily, but because a- it's only about $100 for the pump, b-you have to do 70% of the TB work just to get to the WP and c-if the WP does fail unexpectedly and catastrophically, it can damage the TB, potentially causing the belt to slip, or fail altogether).
The only way to know for sure that the belt was done, and when, is an entry in the Saab IRIS system, or appropriate receipts with date, mileage & VIN for the car. Guessing can be costly.
