Well, if you really want to try and troubleshoot yourself, go to Harbor Freight and pickup an A/C Manifold Tool. This is the type that has to two dials and hoses. They will be about $30-$50. Hook it up to the low and the high side as per instructions. Then start the car / AC Max and see what the dials say. The low side should be 30-50 or so and the high side 150-250. (I have one car 150 and still works, others 200+). Other posts have said that there is a low and high value shutoff for the low side to save the compressor, that is what I have seen also. Another thing is that you can leave them on for a bit and see if there is a change in the low side. If so you have a leak (like overnight, etc). If you don't have a high side reading, then will have to check fuses, / compressor to see why. Also, make sure to do the cabin HVAC test to make sure you have no codes there. I have had to back off of some of the added coolant to get it to stay on 100% of the time. You can also get an evacuation pump, hook it up to the system and then replace the coolant. This is if you want to learn yourself. Else, find a trusted indy .... Jeff O 2
