The stats kill you again. According to NHTSA, teenagers are only about 25-30% more dangerous than the 20-49 age group. In fact, teen age alcohol related deaths were only about half of the rate of 20-49 year olds. See this webcite for details:

You simply can't argue statistics from perceptions. Plus you must question whether VW drivers are the teenagers you think they are. Most may be in the 20-49 age group. I would argue that if you are right on the ratio of VWs to Saabs then VWs probably have about 4 times the death rate in VWs as Saabs if you adjust downward for youth (5 and 1/2 would be the rate if age were not considered).
