I think you are right that an aging FP can present like this at WOT.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I *think* if it was a fuel delivery issue the turbo gauge would fluctuate when it stumbles. In my case the turbo gauge is steady.
FWIW I replaced the fuel pump ~3 yrs ago, ~20k miles ago. Certainly possible that its wearing out, although its kind of young.
