I think many of us are feeling your quandary. I sell Subarus in Northern California. I have 30 years driving and loving Saabs (a couple of cool Audis thrown in 20 years ago), even going to the factory in Trollhattan for the 50th yr celebration. As you can imagine, in my job, I drive a lot of different cars, and I have to say that there is almost nothing that has any of the essence of what makes Saabs great (I take a lot of jabs from my friends at work!). There are virtually no cars with any character or soul, and forget manual shift. I have been swayed a couple of times, lured in by low miles, warranty, bluetooth, satellite radio and all that coolness. I had an Acura RDX and a Legacy 6 cyl. Good cars, yes (boring), but every time I saw a cool Saab go by, I totally lusted after it, such that I had to get rid of them (and take it in the shorts) and find the Saab I wanted. Right now, I have a 2002 9-5 Aero manual. It's a great car. Fortunately, I have a very good tech in Sacramento. I was recently heavily swayed by a pristine 2013 E350 that I could have gotten a hell of a deal on. Great car, but I'm getting older and I don't really want debt, but my Aero is far, far more fun to drive. My plan is to find a solid '99 9-3SE as a second car, maybe hot rod it a bit, and continue driving Saabs for as long as I can. There is just nothing out there that offers anything near the joy and satisfaction that our old Saabs do (alright, maybe a new 911).

Sorry to be long winded, but that's my 2 cents worth. I say keep it!
