...except that the original poster was comparing it (as was I) to the LPT four. The Aero is, ahem, quite different.
Yes, it is a shame about the dash, which now is organic Formica. I had heard from someone at Saab that there were complaints about the finish of the wood dash in the '99-'01 9-5's being too deep and hiding the woodgrain. What you saw was their response. Be careful what you wish for.
