Compared to the best Japanese V-6's (which happens to be about _all_ of them), the Saab V-6 is not as smooth at idle.
Don't know if its because of its odd "V" angle, asymetric turbocharging (there was an interesting post here recently about that), engine mounts or what.
In any event, it's better than the four's I've driven which actually rattle the car. Both were automatics, BTW. Interestingly, I had a 9-3 SE automatic as my last service loaner and was smooth as silk. Go figure.
