Thank you for your suggestions and antedotes. I learned some interesting stuff i.e., people who drive automatics with 2 feet reguard themselves as good drivers, but seriously I did learn excellent tips that I will incorporate into coming sessions;
1) Use classroom time to review concepts vs running through on the fly while trying to drive.
2) Relationship is a hurdle (Father/Son), I have tried to get the wife to take him out but she has balked to date. I'll have her read this thread.
3) Test drive manual cars (Time to take out a 9-3)
4) Emergency brake starting (starting on a hill). Totally forgot about this.
5) Remove myself from the car. This weekend I will go through several test laps and once he is comfortible with the test course I will step out of the car to watch.
My son is a very good auto transmission driver meaning he uses all his mirrors to ensure he knows all that is happening around him and he drives with just his right foot. I started him off "right foot only" knowing the day of the clutch was coming.
