For the 9000, the 3" JT downpipe, 3" CATCO converter, and adapter to stock system is 4750 swedish kronor at Speedparts. That is ~563 USD. I haven't seen it cheaper around here. Also most people will pay someone to fit it, so that's also a cost.
When doing full throttle runs, I notice a big difference with the hyperboost valve. Especially on the shift from 1st to 2nd, as it has a tendency to bog down because 2nd is so tall. The small delay before boost hits is mostly gone in 3rd, 4th and 5th too. That's just my experience and YMMV.
You're absolutely right Zeke that a 3" DP and cat will do much more for lag and is healthy for turbo and engine, and I agree that if both are actual options the DP/cat is the way to go. It's just that a 3" DP and sports cat isn't an alternative for most people. Especially not for owners of newer cars with perfectly alright exhaust systems. They just want a relatively inexpensive upgrade that's easy to install, and which doesn't increase noise etc.
