CAR: '02 Aero/5MT
AGE: 10,000 miles/11 mos
PLUGS: NGK PFR6H-10 (platinum tips)
MOTOR OIL: Take a guess :-)
Amazing, the gaps haven't changed appreciably from when the car was new--all four are still at about 0.9 mm and the tips still appear to be sharp at the edges, not rounded.
But the dielectric grease which was present when the car was new seems to have dried out--I smeared a little bit onto the exterior porcelain part of each plug, and just a bit onto the base of each spark plug boot. (As they say here in NY, "just a schmear")
I'll continue to observe them, but throwing these out at 15K is probably too early for my particular vehicle/plugs/driving conditions.
