Yes, the electrode is very small and this will be the ultimate sharpness if that is of any value. I was using platinum BCPR6EVX11's, gapped to .035 in my 95SET and I would regap once a year and keep using them. So I had not used the 'copper' plugs for a while. The EVX's will have a copper electrode core, they all will. I don't know what the difference is between the EVX and the factory plugs is. Does the factory plug also have an exotic metal ground electrode as well? And the EVX's would be less costly than the factory plug?
As I posted re my factory plugs:
at 12-13K
I decided to see how the factory plugs looked. They are all almost white as you would expect for #6 heat range. The gaps were all between .036 and .037. They squeaked and chattered on the way out, so they want back in with some moly grease on the threads. A compulsion of mine.
When I saw the small plug gaps I looked at the emissions sticker and the plug gap is .035 to .039. I am glad that a more practical spec is now been used than the old .039 +/- spec!
