GPS is probably fine - Aero's have the problem

I've had a Garmin GPS (Legend) for a couple years now that I regularly download maps into when going on trips. I take it everywhere and I often compare it's measured speed to the spedometer of whatever car I'm driving. In my old 1990 vw jetta and my 1987 volvo 740 the GPS read EXACTLY what the spedometers stated, to within 1 mph. My '00 Aero is a different story. Like the original poster, my Aero seems to record much faster speeds and it appears the error is worse at high speeds. I don't remember exactly, but I seem to remember once seeing a 5mph difference driving around 80 mph. This does seem to be a problem, and I'm probably going to make Saab correct this 'feature' before my 4yr/50K is expired.
