That's waaayyy too much money to spend on a saab that old in that condition. Almost every Saab i've ever had was less than $500, including the 9000 i just bought. This car was almost ready to drive, other than it needed new tires and a radiator (hose mount was cracked), and rear brakes. $1750 for a (first of all) AUTOMATIC (and even worse) WITH TRANNY PROBLEMS!?!?!? No way. Pass it over. Tell her off, she's crazy. There's a link to my $350 9000 Turbo (that's Three HUNDRED and fifty dollar). It has Zero serious problems, engine runs like new. I'm going to do the front brakes next, and the lower motor mount (with the help of the 9K board) in the near future. After that, anything that I do to the car will be cosmetic. There is a tiny rust bubble on the hood, and the doors need a little attention. Maybe I'll even put new leather on the seats. At the end of it all, I will probably have less than $900 into the whole project, excluding the $404 in Hakkapelita Q's I just put on it for the winter. The moral of the story is: Do NOT blow a lot of money on a SAAB, yo can get them MUCH cheaper. I admit, $350 is a diamond in the rough, as Monster said about my car, but they are out there, more than you think.
