and recognize a car's potential to trigger an emotional response, then get a Saab. If you want economy/reliability and an interesting driving experience, get a Mercedes Diesel. Although its not sporty, it does have personality, and is safe and rarely needs repair.

I actualy don't recomend that anyone get a Saab. It is a travail. I have two, and what a pain they are. I do happen to love them, and like most things, love and hate is divided by a thin line. Hondas, you see, are like dry white Wonder Toast: they elicite no response, except for a certain respect due to their excellent power train and reliability. But again, so does my Maytag Neptune Washer Dryer set.
