Everyone here must have turbos or 16 valve cars the way you say your cars are fun to drive.
I can't say for a second that my 85 900 8-valve is fun to drive. It is a slug-slow tourer that can't take a corner if its life depended on it (mind you, I race Mazda RX-7's with the SCCA...so my take on performance is a little skewed).
However, I love my Saab because it is sooooo comfortable to drive. 16 years old and it is a fantastic highway car with one of the most comfortable seats I've ever had the pleasure of sitting in. I smile all the way to and from work during my 65 mile round-trip commute each day. And in Houston, Texas, the 900 is a rarity...so it gets plenty of weird looks (like the two kids in the backseat of a Toyota pointing and laughing at the funny-looking car this afternoon). <<grin>>
So, yeah...I guess my car IS fun to drive after all...but in a different way than I always considered to be "fun."
