SDP,
If you can it's definitely best to have the sub running off the dedicated sub output off your head unit. Compared to many other car's that I've put systems in, our OG 900's are surprisingly easy to run wires through, even through the grommet on the firewall. The head unit is a snap to pull out too.. Then I just run the RCA's to the left, using my hand through the driver's side speaker grill and then down to under the carpet. Plus if your headunit allows you to adjust the output level, this is an added plus for adjustability. As far as your HPF, that all depends on a combination of personal preference and where your LPF is set on your sub. 75 for your sub sounds great; I would start with your HPF at around 80-100, and see how that sounds. You probably won't notice much of a difference because a)your speakers have less power running to them then the subs so aren't as loud at reproducing the lower frequencies, and b)your speakers are less effecient at producing the lower frequencies then the subs. Anyways, you definitely don't want the lower frequencies being played by your speakers because you don't want to blow them, and chances are that a frequency that low trying to be played from a regular speaker will just sound like crap anyways. Anyways, good luck!
