You'll be cursing like a sailor also, when you mess up the threads in the exhaust manifold or pipe because you used a generic O2 sensor designed for a Ford. I would suggest buying the proper O2 sensor for your particular car. No splicing needed and no crossed threads. I think eeuroparts.com has 'em as well as sobstory.
Also what Bill said about NOX caused by lean running is correct. Which means that it might not be the O2 sensor. Could be a bad air mass meter, or you might have a vacuum leak somewhere. Good luck with it.
