Thanks for bringing up this possibility. As I have been selling the universal o2 sensor for quite a while, I was sure it was a suitable replacement (and saves about $100). I did some checking:
The only 8V that used a three wire sensor was 1988.
BOSCH o2 sensor p/n 13009 fits 88 8V, 85 900T, 87-89 9000i
You also bring up a good point about suitable parts. Lots of people have gotten into trouble using substandard parts. All advice should be taken with a grain of salt. Thanks for getting me to double check this application.
